Ideas
to enhance self-esteem:
- Look
at a child and think of all the good things you would tell
that child about herself. Then tell yourself the same
things.
- Ask
what you want and need for yourself. Advocate for
yourself.
- Make
a list of your accomplishments in a day, week, or in your
life.
- Spend
time with people who affirm and validate you.
- Recognize
the negative self-statements you make about yourself
(i.e.: I’m not good enough, I always mess up, no one
likes me etc.) and replace those statements with more
realistic ones.
- Have
compassion for yourself.
