40 – 50        Congratulations!  You are taking good care of yourself while balancing the many demands of motherhood.

30 – 39        Things are O.K., but you may start to feel depleted.  Give yourself permission to get your needs met more often.  Ask your partner to pitch in more, get help from family/friends, and/or pay for help.

Under 30     Time to do a self-assessment.  What is getting in the way of getting your needs met?  Do you feel guilty or “selfish” if you do things for yourself? Is it difficult for you to ask for help?  Is depression or anxiety getting in your way? Are there problems in your marriage?  Talking to a therapist might help you clarify your obstacles and find ways to get your needs met.
